Our purpose

At LSC we aim to offer interesting and challenging English courses that enable our students to make the best progress they can and to communicate more effectively in English, leading to greater achievements in their personal and professional lives when they leave us.  We do this by:

• Recognising that each student has individual learning objectives;
• Ensuring that each student is placed in the class and on the course that allows them to make the best progress from their starting point;
• Recognising that studying English at LSC is only one part of the cultural and learning experience that all of our students enjoy when they come to London.
• Encouraging students to take responsibility for their progress in learning English.

We believe that what students ‘get out’ of their experience depends to some degree on what they ‘put in’.  In practice, this means how much students are prepared to practise their English both inside and outside the classroom.
