How to enrol at LSC

For students that are currently in their home country and have not yet travelled to the UK:

Step Two – Decide if you want LSC to help you with accommodation and other services during your stay

LSC can help arrange accommodation for you during part or all of your stay in London. We have different accommodation options available. We recommend that students book accommodation several weeks before they travel to the UK, so that we can try to find accommodation that is as close to LSC as possible. Step Three – Request a detailed quotation from LSC for your course (and accommodation if you need it)

You can ask us to prepare a free, no obligation, detailed quotation for you by filling in the Get A Quote form.

Step Four – Decide whether you will need a study visa in order to study English at LSC Happy_Students_outside

Students that are from outside Europe will very probably need a study visa. For further information, please see our Visas page.

Step Five – Confirm that you want to book your course and send through the LSC Application Form with the other documents that LSC needs to process your enrolment

Once you have confirmed that you wish to enrol at LSC, you can fill in our LSC Application 2012 and send it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Our enrolments team will then process your enrolment. Please make sure that you include all the information and documents that are requested on the Enrolment Form.

Step Six – Pay for your course

You must pay for your course in full in order for us to send you a letter that confirms your place on your course. You will need this letter to apply for your visa.You can pay by international bank transfer or by credit card (apart from American Express). Full details of how to pay are included on the LSC Enrolment Form.

Step Seven – Receive documents from LSC to help you apply for your visa

Once you have paid for your course, we will send you a letter of confirmation, which you will need to apply for your visa.

Step Eight – Apply for your study visa (if you need a study visa to travel)

To apply for your study visa, please read our Visa page and, once you know which visa you need to apply for, you will need to fill in the relevant visa application form. You will be able to obtain the right form from the British Embassy or Consulate.

Sometimes, the British Embassy or Consulate will refuse a visa application. Most of the time, this is because the student has not submitted the right documents or included all the information that is required. Please read the visa application form very carefully to make sure that you include all the right information in your visa application.

Step Nine – Receive your study visa

Most British Embassies and Consulates around the world will issue study visas within a few days. However, some British Embassies and Consulates may take longer, and you should check with the British Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Step Ten – Travel to the UK and start your course at LSC!

Once you have received your visa, check that it is valid for the duration of your course, and check that the start date and end date are correct. You can then book your ticket to the UK, if you haven’t already done so.

When you arrive at LSC, we will need to see your passport and take a copy of your visa, so please bring your passport to LSC on your first day .
