Our Teachers
They all have different backgrounds and interests, which adds to the diversity of the topics you will be able to discuss with them. As you might expect, some of them have been working at LSC for a very long time (over 10 years), others for a shorter time.
Our teachers follow a syllabus for each course, and for each English level within a course, so that you can improve your language skills in an effective and structured way. They have the flexibility to design lessons around the needs of students so that they can make each class enjoyable and interesting.
We try to ensure that each class has the same teacher for the duration of each term. Due to changing numbers of students and teachers leaving the school, we may have to change a class's teacher in the middle of a term.
Teachers are entitled to holidays and, unfortunately, get sick sometimes. In these cases, the Academic Manager will try to ensure that one teacher covers the class. Due to teacher availability, however, this is not always possible.
In the event of teacher absence, the Academic Manager will try to find another teacher to take the class. However, if no teacher is available, classes of similar level may be combined. Please note that this is a temporary measure taken only if we have no other alternative.

Hi, I’m Emma. I am the Academic Manager at LSC, but I also teach – usually exam preparation courses like FCE and CAE. I am from Ireland and I came to London after graduating with a degree in International Business. I wanted to be a teacher because I love learning languages myself and meeting people from all over the world. I thought I would only stay in London for a few months but I have been working at LSC for over 6 years now! I love the way people from different cultures and backgrounds mix in London, and at LSC. You can learn so much about other countries here without ever visiting them.
Hopefully I will see you soon!
